Welcome to the page of Tom Goldner

This space is independent of social media algorithms. Here you will find my projects, news and events.

I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land and waters on which I live, work and travel. As a person who seek meaning and knowledge through storytelling, I recognise that the First Peoples of this land have been doing so for over 60,000 years. I pay my respects to elders past, present and emerging.

Tom Goldner, Photographic Artist Curator, Melbourne, Australia, Photo Collective

I’m a photographic artist, curator, and educator based on Wurundjeri Country in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria. My work explores the intersections of photography, ecology, and human experience, using an experimental and collaborative approach to storytelling. Through my practice, I aim to challenge traditional narratives and reflect on our complex relationships with the natural world.

Beyond my creative projects, I currently work as an Operations Coordinator at Deakin University and serve as Co-Creative Director at Photo Collective, where I help facilitate initiatives like the Australian Photography Awards and the Australian and New Zealand Photobook Awards. These platforms celebrate and support the photographic community while fostering meaningful conversations through visual storytelling.

As an educator, I’ve lectured at leading institutions and continue to mentor emerging artists. Whether through exhibitions, teaching, or collaborative projects, my passion lies in using photography to inspire understanding and connection. Thank you for visiting—I invite you to explore my work and connect with me.
